When attending community forums, knocking on doors, and chatting over cups of coffee with community leaders, I’m often asked, 'Are you a Democrat or a Republican?'

Public education is a lifeline to many. I’ve seen how access to strong schools can change the trajectory of a child’s life and unlock opportunity for entire families.

King County’s small businesses are full of promise. From small family-run shops to ambitious startups, these areas contribute richly to our region’s identity and economy. Yet, there are pockets in District 7 that lack formal representation - no city councils, no chambers of commerce - to advocate for small business needs.

Affordable housing isn’t a buzzword, it’s a foundation for thriving communities and a shared regional responsibility. We need a smarter, more coordinated approach.

Safety in our neighborhoods should never come at the cost of compassion. When we create policies and programs to protect our communities, we must remember that real safety is rooted in care, connection, and understanding.

Transportation systems are more than just getting from Point A to B. They are at the heart of a community’s livability.

The King County audit of wasteful spending is another example of why I’m running for King County Council.
