Thank you for an impactful Candidate Forum, King County Alliance for Human Services

On September 25, the King County Alliance for Human Services hosted a candidate forum, bringing together candidates for many King County elected offices to discuss the important issues, needs, and constraints facing human services organizations across King County.

Knowing that our community members deserve to hear directly from leaders on how we can sustain and strengthen these critical services, Maya was honored to participate in the entire two hour event.

Throughout the evening, Maya shared her vision for a stronger, more compassionate community—one built on the foundation of robust human services. Her dedication to this cause is not new; it is the result of years of hands-on work, advocacy, and collaboration with local organizations and stakeholders. From improving access to mental health care and housing support to championing programs for youth and seniors, Maya has consistently prioritized the well-being of King County’s most vulnerable residents.

Her approach is rooted in the belief that when human services thrive, the entire community benefits. Maya understands that investing in people—through education, health, and social support—creates a ripple effect of stability, opportunity, and growth. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that these services are not only available but also equitable and responsive to the diverse needs of King County.

As the campaign continues, Maya remains committed to listening, learning, and leading with integrity. She is grateful for the chance to share her platform and engage with voters who care deeply about the future of their county. The September 25 forum was a powerful reminder that it is important for leadership to show up. We will only know what can be achieved when leaders and community members come together with purpose and hope.
